what I'm doing now for situps is to just do regular situps with about a 25-35lbs plate. I also don't just pump them out. I take my time up, and then back down. That works the muscles, but you also need to do some timed situps too to work on stanima, just start pumping out as many situps in 30 seconds as possible, take 15-30 off, and then repeat.

yep...i live by "pain is weakness leaving the body" same. Sounds kind of sadistic but I love that pain. You know where you run so far that you can't even walk afterwards, or go lifting and have trouble driving back from the gym because your arms won't work anymore. THAT'S a good feeling.
