I haven't had one in a while, but, who here uses them? What kind? Iv'e really thought about getting back into it again.....I always felt like it kind of soothed my muscles when I drank them after a workout.....providing protein...building blocks....to my broken down muscles...
What kind do you all drink? Any other nutritional-type supplements?

Best used for packin on weight bro... Most of these folks are going to be trying to LOSE weight, run faster, and get rid of the "D I C K Y D O O "
AND THE definition of "D I C K Y D O O" is when your belly hangs out farther than your D I C K Y D O O ... LMAO!
I used a protein drink, Joe Weider's stuff, to change weight classes, but, that went with alot of heavy weight training... and the only reason I used it was because I was on a EXTREMELY HIGH carb intake and it had little protein at all..so...the protein was mainly to keep from getting into a torn down state (like after a few days cycle hard at it) and not healing up fast enough to keep the cycles turned around... too many days off to heal and you dont gain it fast enough. ...but it DOES help with healing, just be prepared to gain some serious weight. I wouldn't recommend a protein supplement unless the guy in training needs to gain... some guys are really thin...and this is not necessarily a bad thing, but, strength and muscle mass are directly proportional. Do the math. I WOULD recommend drinking alot of (lowfat) milk for bone mass if you are going to be running alot. Cheeze and any dairy products are healthy in small doses... too much of anything will kill you. ...even water. Dont overhydrate.

I never really used them. I get good enough results with just eating alot of red meat and other high-protein foods. Plus it costs less, so I'm not complaining.

So, I've never done tbe protein shake thing; I take SlimFast shakes or SlimFast Meal-on-th-go bars to work because between med doses I get starved (and very very pregnant dogy) but we get one 10 minute break every 4 hour shift, so I need something that will take the edge off quickly. It's kinda nice too, that I can keep my weight down. I'm 5'2" and weigh 110 right now.

Protein shake is an ideal diet for the muscles building and trainers mostly recommended it for the better muscles growth and muscles recovery. I never used the protein shake for the muscles building because I focus more on raw protein foods.
