"Will he be remembered as a great President, or the greatest President?" - Stephen Colbert
What are everyone's thoughts of President Bush? And please give reasons if you don't like him and if you do like him, why?

He'll be in the top 5 or 10 greatest presidents. Though, it'll happen either after he dies or in like, two decades. Until this liberal storm that has swept America subsides, history will not remember him favorably. Like former President Nixon.

I agree...the only thing i don't like about him is he seems to look for a new war before we are done with the first one...

I agree...the only thing i don't like about him is he seems to look for a new war before we are done with the first one... The only way to win the first is to cut off the jugular. Which is Iran

Saw it on O'Reilly last night. Pretty funny, but at the same time, it added a nice reminder that President Bush is just like all of us! lol

I am sort of jumping back and forth on the idea of "Who is going to be blamed for starting world war 3" Was it Bin Laden for "tuggin on Superman's cape"...or was it the proverbial "Burning Bush that burned and was not consumed by the fire" I am certain that GW had a strong eithical conviction on prosecuting the war to some reasonable conclusion, but, he's out of time and it isn't going to happen. At the same time, I am certain that the next president will need to deal with a bigger problem... and WW3 is lookin more like probable than plausable. The next president can easily blame the mess on GW to not be held accountable for a catastrophic "all-out" confrontation with yet a third country... (wether Iran, Pakistan, or N. Korea) but, I just dont see how history is going to let the man (GW) off the hook...now or later... Personally, I think GW is a great president...and the reason "WHY" I feel that way is based on the resolve he had to exhibit (and defend) in the face of all the information we've had for hundreds, if not thousands, of years about the problems associated with starting any war in the middle east... He knew and chose to take it on...and it was for stopping what was a certain nuclear confrontation with people who have nothing to lose.... wether Hussein had the WMD's or not makes no difference to me, I believe he would have aquired them... at some point used them, and went down himself in history as the resurrected Nebbukednezzar of Babylon.... (Which was his philosophy anyway) ... yeah, I read the book and now, it is a race to keep the terrorsits from aquiring them, while at the same time keeping the black market in check, and drumming up cooperation from nations like Russia, China, and Pakistan... good lord, what a load to carry... Yeah, i think the man knew, certainly his advisors warned him, and he had to (1)try to stop it or (2)deal with worse, or (3)pass the deal...and he chose door # 1 to deal with it... not pass the deal to the next poor sucker to strap on a POTUS decal and run.... I look at the petty crap the Clinton's pulled on their way out of office, stealing furniture and decimating the military and intelligence... When Soldiers are on welfare and the intern in the oval office knows more about "back door politics" than the moron who tries to tell me what "IS" is... on national TV no less, I wonder how much of a "victory" the next president will actually be able to claim... especially faced with the mess that has become foreign policy in the middle east.... and I look at how much blame will be laid at the feet of a man that thought (and I genuinely believe he did) that he was doing the right thing. So, I put myself in his position and try to imagine what would I do... Bin Laden just killed 3,000 of my people. Yep, his organization just committed suicide...no doubt... and then I got Hussein launching Scuds at Israel... trying to back bite me while I am dealing with the anger of my Nation and the whole world.... Yep, I'da went after his sorry butt too, and now I got Iran feeding the fire....yep...wanna play with it...send em one.. a big one... about 500 kilotons... then, I'd take a good hard look at the the rest of em that wanna smack around a dragon and expect to not get burned.... It's been 65 years since the last history lesson about the absolute resolve of a nation... and it is once again put to the test... in a sort of "war of attrition" and hit and strike...much like Nam was on the ground... only on a larger scale... What we know about it was that the carpet bombing "WAS" working until they backed off....then the resolve of the enemy was do or die... shoulda expected that.... so..Saigon fell. Now, on the larger scale, worldwide guerilla tactics... they underestimate one thing..... the Earth is only so big... and once it is glowin in the dark, you cant stand there for the next 250 million years... I believe a history lesson is in order.... and , if GW is gonna take the heat for it anyway, why not "BE" the man that goes down in history for blasting a great big "scorched earth policy" into the middle east mindset... Japan hasn't bombed anyone since Fat Man and Little Boy paid em a visit. ...and they haven't even considered it since... They were too busy cleaning up the mess for the next fifty years... Terrorists aren't going to clean up the mess... (Demonstrate that) it then becomes a necessity for the people to prevent the mess everywhere else... problem solved. Confuscius say: Man become quite compliant when faced with his own extinction.

I will mention that I was totally miffed by GW's final state of the union address. He basically said "abideee abideee ..dats all fokes"
...man what a slap in the face. My 14 yr old could have come up with a better Adios than that. I certainly cannot say GW has much class as a president. I've seen better charisthma from a glass of water, but, I am glad he had the guts to take care of business when it was time to act. I would characterize GW socially as a typical "good ol boy" type local mogul from Texas. Nothing fancy and nothing less than redneck when riled.....but, maybe there is something to the good ol American redneck mentality that "I dont do this to others, I wont have it done to me"... who knows. History probably wont remember Mr. Bush for his difficulty with the English language and the pronounciation of the word NUKE YA LUR ...roflmmfao ...but maybe they will remember him for his good old tuff redneck approach to dealing with dictaters. ...lets just hope the next guy has as much gumption and a little more mojo.
