I pride myself on building this country up and not talking bad about it. And this thread is not going to talk bad about the wonderful home we all live in. It is however me venting. I am sick and tired of our judicial system. It seems they have found a loophole on how to infringe on our rights. Now the supreme court is making laws? They don't exactly call it that but by their "interpretation" of the constitution they are doing just that. All the supreme court has to do is call something un-constitutional and all of the sudden no one is allowed to have a say in it anymore. First of all it is IMPOSSIBLE for me as a private citizen to infringe on your or anyone elses constitutional rights. I can't do it. It is impossible for me to infringe on your right to a free religion, your freedom of speech, right to vote; on a constitution level in anyway. How you may ask? Well because the Constitution of The United States of America was written to limit GOVERNMENT, namely congress. Just look at the first three amendments alone.
Amendment I: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Amendment II: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed
Amendment III: No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
And hey just for context reasons Let's do Amendment 4 too
Amendment IV:The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Okay so all that being said. Under the context of the first four amendments to the bill of rights, who is being yoked? Our government. Who is given freedom? Us, the people. So why arn't we being allowed to say merry christmas in our stores, why arn't we being able to put crosses in the courtyards we pay the government to build, just because one person out of the thousand MAY be offended. Well what about the thousand and their rights. What amendment in our constitution or any law in the lawbooks say "You have the right not to be offended." There isn't one.
Our liberal governing authorities are setting us as people at odds with one another by shielding us from this reality and petting the media to say something else. When the truth comes out from people they are shunned and spoken evil of. May this not be! America we have to unite under one cause. The cause of freedom. But being united we cannot sacrifice truth. Which means some people ARE going to be offended. It happends. But even if we are offended by something someone says (because sometimes even I can get offended) lets do this. Think about what offended you, why are you offended (because generally if your offended by a truth you have something to be offended about)? If the person is right, be selfless AND CHANGE!!! Don't sit in pride but change. That's what is gonna take in this country to change the things we want changed. People are gonna have to speak the truth, make sober decisions according to that truth, and change. And please if your feelings get hurt MAN UP, and if you are a woman thats fine still MAN UP. Let the desire for the freedom of our grandchildren unite us. Lets not make a better America for today but a better America that will last for hundreds of years, as our founding fathers did. A lot of them didn't see the freedom work itself out but died before it had a chance. But they did it for their children and their childrens children and so on, they did it for us. The men that fight our freedoms this day and age do it for us. So lets show them we are thankful by using the freedoms they fight for. Express yourself. America is the best country that the world has ever seen! Lets make her better.
