The things in life that happen are not always good, but they're not always bad either. we must take the bad with the good. i believe with my whole heart that God has a plan for each and every one of us. I believe there is a reaon for everything that happens to us...it's part of the plan. Sometimes we feel as if God is leading us in a specific direction...sometimes, we feel lost...it's the times when we feel lost, we need to look to him and ask for guidance. listen to the heart. the people in our lives are there for a reason. Do you ever thank God for allowing your path to cross with someone elses?....if you are thanking him, it must be for a reason right?....i thank him everyday for allowing my path to have led me to someone. my past path has been beaten, broken down and shattered...in the words of rascal flatts..."God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you"...
we must learn from the past, learn to forgive, and be willing to learn again.

I'm not sure if I believe in fate. I doubt that EVERYTHING happens for a reason, while some things you can control, others you can't, and I've found myself trying to accept that so many times, I still have trouble accepting why some things are the way they are. All I know is that I wouldn't be who I am without God's help, and for that I am thankful. It's like, some of the things I've seen when I was younger (about 5) I've experienced that many people wouldn't have experienced at that age, and to be able to make it through the rough times, it took me a while (a few years) to realize that I wouldn't have made it out of that situation with my sanity if it wasn't for the help of God.

i'm not really saying 'fate'....i guess i just believe that God has a plan, and each day is a new page to his plan for us...it's the fact that we should be looking to him for our decision making skills...as you said....we can control things, and if we ask for help...well we're at least looking in the right place...

That's pretty much what I think. But I'm not sure if God has an EXACT plan for us all, I mean if He did, would He have given us humans free will? What He does call us to do is to live our lives in a Christ-like manner, but we pray to Him to ask for guidance, like you said, on what we should do with our lives, but I doubt He has an exact plan for us. Like He tells us to live our lives in the most Christ-like way possible, how we do that is ultimately up to us, but God gives us guidance when we pray to Him.
And I like to repeat myself a lot.

lol i agree with that...but to a point...i guess my first post was sort of vague....we do have free will, but i guess what i was gettin at is that he does have a plan if we chose to follow him...i guess it's sort of like a parent having a child...they plan for them to go to school, then college, then start a career, or get married....it's the parent's plan, but the decision is up to the child...if that makes any sense...

Yes, that makes sense to me, and I definitely am on the same page with you on that now.
