oh yeah i forgot them! they're bad a$$...there is a ton that i listen to but didn't list....music is my life...it helps so much, even when you don't think it is....for example, when you're angry, there is angry music, when you're sad, there is sad music, happy/happy music, etc....and no matter how you're feeling there is a song somewhere that describes it....

Hey Mel.....check out THIS band sometime......not sure if they'd be your 'cup o' tea', Mel, or Doug.....but, you guys might just like them..... Theyr'e an underground metal band from California. I grew to love them several years ago, after meeting them. Their lyrics are some of the most powerful.....and, their music is so diverse.....ranging from loud metal, where you can barely understand a word...and have to pull out the lyric book.....lol........to, slow duet-type songs between the singer and his wife.......they have some slow, 'emotional' songs..... Hands down....I'll go out on a limb here.....but, they have a song called "Gold and Silver"..........it was released several years ago....but, it's still one of my favorite song of all time.........yes.....OF ALL TIME.....lol.....out of any artist......I don't know.....the lyrics just always get me......and it's such a powerful progression from slow to suddenly jumping into hard rock......but, still maintaining an emotional edge..... Check out "Gold and Silver" sometime.....you may like it myspace.com/stavesacre

Am listening to Gold & Silver... This is nice!
...and YES, I play "Sultans of Swing" on my guitar. (Dire Straits was always a hit with the more POP flavored crowds... )
I'm more of a FREEBIRD kinda guy for "favorite of all time" tho.. and I like Zepplin, Metallica, Eagles, And a few hundred others. I got a music library on this system that would turn a DJ green with envy. Between Jenn and me we both got several thousand tunes on here.

I like this band called Throttlerod. (FYI if you google them, have safe search on, otherwise, most of the stuff you get won't be music related). They're music is southern hard rock, but you can definitely hear some of their influences. What caught my attention were their jazzy sounding solos. If you listen to an album of theirs, I recommend "Hell And High Water" It was the first album of theirs that I bought, and still remains to be one of my top favorites.
