(Demonstrate your creativity......Put your ideas into words......Post them here) Should we have "Sam" presented riding on a Tank? At the Rifle Qual-Range? This thread is for YOU to throw out your ideas for samSForce! Once developed, we may just include these graphics on an official t-shirt for samSForce.

Not sure how to make the graphics, but I figured I'd toss this out: Perhaps there should be a fighter jet or helicopter soaring in the background. Just a thought; not sure if it's been brought up!

I have a feeling that this is going to become such an awesome phenomena that DC comics might even be doing a cartoon on this SuperSoldier. But I agree with keeping the one you have started. Rule number 1 in any business venture or enterprise (NEVER CHANGE THE LOGO)...it's like changing your phone number or promoting instability... It's a fantastic logo. It appeals to everyone. It doesn't say "Sam's Army. It doesn't say Sam's Air Force... but you represent ALL of them because it is an army of supporters... I'd love to have a teeshirt with that logo on it... one for each of my boys too... and the board will get there. As for the idea of throwing in some graphics to involve Sam in the various forces and disciplines.... fantastic, so, lets start a thread that is all about promoting him doing these things. but, no, I vote against changing the logo... Look at that logo! Arms crossed = posture of DEFENSE! Different uniforms = STANDING UNITED... Male, female, and decorated Brother = OUTSTANDING!!!! and the Tattoo is a beautiful touch. The universal RED SUN = Known round the world as the rising sun... About the only thing I could think of that might be a good idea to change would be the background shape.... now you could do the background shape in the silhouette of a military image (a ship or a tank), but, because it is white, it would only show up on colored backgrounds.... Probably the best background you could do is simply crop the background down to outline what you already have. I wouldn't want to pin a permanent silhouette to your logo tho, because Sam's force is not as much about combat as it is about promoting support... Think about things like a 1st grade class using your board for dealing with teaching things like that.. or possibly a religious group promoting a charity event... I'm just concerned that changing the logo might short change us on the ability of people to ask the question "Hey, what is SamsForce all about?" ...and like what they see, because it meant that much to check... You guys are promoting something this country is in sore need of right now...I believe you are going to strike a resounding chord in the heartstrings of a patriot nation.... don't underestimate your own endeavor!
Much love -Doug

So much research has gone into this, Doug.....it's been a massive work in progress for months......of online searching and deciphering what was lacking in generic military sites, as well as, what would appeal to the military community. Some have called the Logo childish......I haven't been a huge fan of 'comics' or 'cartoons', but, I believe America NEEDS something to believe in.....that goes beyond just showing pictures of the American Flag.......that's why "Uncle Sam" was birthed.............He was an icon that eveyone knew was fictional, but, they grasped everything his character stood for.............. there is another thread started where I started to develop a "write-up" about just who "Sam" is......to anyone who is interested....go check it out sometime .......that write-up has been used on the MySpace group, as well as Facebook......and, it'll be developed/ added to..........this is all a work in progress........but, thank you all for believing in it

How about a background silhouette of something inherently American? An eagle? The Postal service uses that and it does denote some measure of official symbology.

Well the logo definitely is not childish at all!!! I concur with everything Doug said; you are a very smart gentleman Doug! "Sam" is someone everyone can connect too. He's the spitting image of a U.S. Soldier, and we need that in todays time. In the Revolution we had Washington, in the War of 1812 we had Brigadier General Winfield Scott, in the Civil War we had Grant, and in the World Wars we had MacArthur, Patton and good ol' Ike. "Sam" is the 21st century model of the American hero. He really is someone everyone can connect with; young, old, in between, whatever have you! If it is okay with you "Sam", I was thinking of putting the logo up on my school locker with the link to the website for all the the kids at my high school who are joining the armed forces once they graduate!

I am pretty sure you guys are talking about the characters in the logo, and how they directly reflect what we have today in the service, but, you left something else out of the relationship... the older generation... They had Sgt Kelly, Captain America and all these old MUSCLE BOUND bully lookin types with tattoos of anchors on their arm.... Sam is lookin like he REPRESENTS. He's got the tribalism tat, the baby face... and he is relying on technology more these days than the brawn of a musclebound country hillbilly. I bet Sam digs Rock n Roll, maybe even some Snoop Dawg and some Kid Rock and knows how to throw down some moves!
...so NO ... it does NOT look childish. But it does look "Child friendly" and that says alot too. Especially to the older folks who wonder if the Grandson ought to be talkin to the troops in here...
Nah...NEVER CHANGE THE LOGO....trust me.. it's bad business to give up your symbology... or to play with it. You could look at "sam" as ol' UNCLE SAM's Nephew... The next generation of "Bad to the bone"! Dress him in the colors on Veteran's Day and stand him next to the UNCLE. But dont change the logo. On Memorial Day, Dress him in the colors and stand him at a white stone cross. On the 4th... Dress him in the colors and stand him beside the lady. ...but do those things as promotional to develop his character... not permanent changes to the logo. People are already relating to this logo and their recognition of it and FOR it will be a thing of comfort and familiarity... dont play with that. It's okay to develop the character...sure, by all means...give him some Pizzaz... an identity to relate to... maybe even tie it to the history of his awesome UNCLE... whatever... but I am dead set against changing the logo... it works. It is fantastic, simple, and gets the message across.. Y'all know there is such a thing as 'overworking" the cement right?
