Hey All- I have occasional insomnia due to depression and anxiety. I've heard forever that lavender works. At first I simply spritzed the bedroom w/ lavendar scented body spray. That works well. Now, I have a lavender and chamomile sachet that I heat and put back into a teddy bear. Obviously the bear is not as important as the calming from the lavender and chamomile sachet! My advice: Try using lavender.

It might not be clearly evident, but ever since my service in afghanistan, ive experienced some anxiety and PTSD........it sounds kinda outside the realm of what 'guys' would do......but, i find that lighting candles in my room with the lights turned off really helps to calm me down and relieve stress and anxiety

Hey, we've gotta take care of ourselves. I don't trust my hands to light candles, but I have used the candle warmers on occasion. What is it with Moms though? My Mom told me about it too!

Yeah, they do. Good birthday gift for immediate family. My Mom loves giving me stuff that will help my symptoms. (I'm told I'm much more fun to be around if they're under control!)

Wow, maybe I'll try this, I've been on vacation for a couple weeks, and have yet to be able to sleep much, if at all. Probably not more than 5 to 6 hours a day, and then going and doing some furniture moving everyday. Fun stuff right here, and a day of sleeping in could actually do me some good.

well i can't say that i really fit into this catagory, i hardly ever have trouble sleeping...and if i do, i just get up and lift weights or something, then i'm worn out and want to lay down...then i fall asleep...
