"Heading Home" by Thomas Kinkade Thomas Kinkade is one of my favorite artists. I love this painting. It takes on many meanings. What do you see when you look at this?

when i look at this painting, i see many things. i see a man going home from a war, or from basic training. he is following the light that is his family and friends. he is "heading home" to his loved ones after having sand thrown in his face, after seeing his buddies shot and wounded, after saving the lives of many. he is going home to celebrate the victory of our nation.
i see a man going to heaven. he has done his time here on earth, and his father called him up. he may have lost a leg during a war, or some sort of military exercise, and he is now walking again. he's done his country, family and friends proud, completed his mission, and is now to be at home in heaven.

Lady Liberty loves lighthouses and everything about them. She thinks they have a mysterious appeal...anything can happen at a lighthouse...it can help someone find their way physically or emotionally, it's almost magical, it can be a place that two people go to on a vacation, etc. here is another painting by Thomas Kinkade, sadly though, it's a limited edition... "Cape Hatteras"...cape hatteras is in north carolina...one of lady liberty's favorite states...she was born there...this is her most favorite lighthouse...although she's never been there...
