I started a little tradition with a couple other people in ym battallion. On Tuesdays and thursdays after PT I'd make a real breakfast for the three of us. Originally it was waffles (i just got a new waffle iron). But i started to get creative. Recently I came across a recipe for french toast, and if you use this recipe you will never eat plain french toast ever again.
Ingredients: 6 thick slice of French bread 2 eggs 1/2 cup milk pinch of salt 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp allspice butter for frying maple syrup powder sugar (optional) strawberries (optional) blueberries (optional) whipped cream (optional)
First, you crack the eggs into a bowl, wisk them all up; then add the milk and stir that all together. Then you add the vanilla and mix it in. Then you add the "dry" ingredients: cinnamon, allspice, salt. and mix it all up. This will be what you coat the bread in. Then you take the bread slices; French bread seriously works the best; and coat them with the egg-spice-etc. mix. You fry them like you would any french toast. Then, once they are fried up. Put them in the oven for ten minutes and they will become fluffy. After that, they are ready to eat. I recommend adding some sort of fruit and whipped cream; just because it looks cool.
