Iv'e got a huge database of things stored in the back of my brain.....but, for those who have gone through basic training....or, even if you haven't.........what should a new Recruit NOT say to a drill sergeant?....I'm sure MANY of us have had an experience or two.....whether we said it, or someone else in our platoon said it... Share them HERE!

"I think I just crapped in my pants" How about..... I joined the Army because "girls like a man in uniform"..... One kid actually said that during my basic training....needless to say, our D.S. made his life a living hell....lol ;D

lol......but you went to Relaxin' Jackson......i was at Benning and seeing any type of female would have been a God send LOLOL......i was suppose to go to benning up until the day before I shipped out.....i had orders cut for benning, but, they said they had to change them to jackson for some reason......it was weird.....i wonder if that happens frequently or if that was just a rarity....

One of my friends said.....
"Nah"....
When our D.S. asked him a yes or no question....lol....
Usually the correct response is "Yes, Drill Sergeant" or "No, Drill Sergeant".....
I can remember it to this day.....the drill sergeant went crazy.....
"Are you out of your God*amn mind, Private!?!?!?! Is that how you address a Drill Sergeant?!?!?! Drop....."
.....while his blood vessels, in his eyes, looked like they were just about ready to pop....lol

lol.... Imagine having a D.S. years younger than you were. It'd be pretty hard to take him seriously I'd suppose, but they are pretty much Gods in miniature.

never say "I can't" or "I will" or "I'll try" or "In a minute".. may be common sense but for newbies that have an ego this should help.

Drill Sergeants are truly the best of the best......trained to fight AND trained to train.....usually theyr'e hand picked and are capable of almost anything. My Drill Sergeants were pretty much everything I had aspired to be......motivation and determination ran vigorously through their veins, and they wouldn't let any of us quit, even if we wanted too.

(as you're being woken up) F**er! GO AWAY and leave me alone. Told that to one of my friends once, and she threatened to flip me and my mattress off the bed the next time I said that.... BTW she's now a Sailor in a Naval family.....
