My dad served in the great Corps from 82-92. He was Motor T (31 and 33 he drove everything), taught water safety survival, and was the bodyguard and personal chauffer to General Alfred Gray.
I have several friends that have served as well.

My Great Granfather was a Marine. He died four hours before I was born. Dont know much about his service record or exploits, but, we had pictures and some old cannon shells he brought back. Coins Etc.
I joined Gunny R. Lee Ermeys Myspace Page and Web Ring... The Gunny will add Samsforce to the webring if Howie will take the time to pay the Gunny a visit. I would do it for samsforce, but, I dont have the info he needs to submit with the webring listing (it's another option for several thousand more exposures....)
...just a thought

R. Lee Ermey is one good guy.......I got the chance to shake his hand briefly over in Afghanistan........let me dig through my pictures.....i just may have one of him..........I do have tons of pictures of Robin Williams up close, this wrestler named Kurt Engel, and this race car driver (I can't remember his name for the life of me....lol).....they all come over with the USO.... .......Robin Williams is one funny guy.....I'll have to post those pics sometime..... ;D

I got Robin Williams videos bro LOL ...Jenny loves the guy and I bust a rib every time I watch him... HILARIOUS!
...but you really should consider getting samSForce listed on the Gunny's webring... it will drive up your search engine ranking and provide massive exposure through like minded Marines!
Would love to meet the Gunny.. I love Mail Call and I know he was an outstanding Marine. And ya know the guy is for real. People think it's all a Hollywood gimmick... but, he's the real deal.
and, if ya like, I can name all the NASCAR drivers in both the cup and Busch series, thier car numbers, sponsors, and who they drive for if ya think it'll help ya remember? (been watchin NASCAR since I was about 7) I even got to go watch Kevin Harvick win the Brickyard 400 a couple years back... Howie, if ya ever get a chance to go see a cup race..dont pass it up... I thought 150 was fast ...bro..the brickyard is 205mph and it makes your hair stand on end just watching somebody drive that fast... TV cannot do it justice.
...It was probably either Greg Biffle, Joe Nemecheck, Mike Bliss, Chad Chaffin, Mark Martin or Casey Mears... they all drove cars for military sponsors...

My father served in the corps during Vietnam, he joined right out of high school, he was a foot soldier, but other than that I don't know much about what he did. He doesn't like to talk to it, he suffers from PTSS, and yet he is still a very proud Marine.
