no no no, i'm talking about the "what do you mean you're not my personal shopper?" ones, the ones that accuse me of being a racist because their coupons won't work on a specific item...the ones that i have to actually say "i'm sorry, this is a lady's fitting room, your boyfriend will have to wait out here" to....the ones that think my department is chucky cheese...on that note, if i see one more unattended child pulling tags off of the clothes and throwing them like confetti, i'm going to give them an espresso and a free puppy while the mom isn't around....

and if i have to play fashion show one more time i'm going to scream!!!!! all day everyday i hear..."you're about the size of my granddaughter, can you try this on?"....i don't mind doing it, but they expect me to leave the customers i'm with at the moment to cater to them!....then they expect me to tell them my life story..."how old are you?".."would you wear this?".....then i get those people that insist on telling me "kohls has this shirt cheaper"...like i friggin care....go to kohls then!! "this place is too expensive for me"....THEN DON'T SHOP HERE!!!
i'm starting to lose all hope in humanity...nobody has common sense anymore...

Just tell em "I'm sorry, we are not allowed to do that" and go on with your customers.... rude people got that way because they weren't taught by parents that had any good common ettiquette... ...so they gotta learn sometime... I usually just say something along the lines of "Must you honor your parents everywhere you go"..and walk away

Mel- I work as a telemarketer and teleservices rep. We must trade stories about our *ahem* Customers. I've been there; I'm lucky that I get to only do it over the phone. Why do all the difficult ones seem to get us?

haha yesterday....this is hillarious...well, sort of...anyway, i noticed a lady that had just come into my department, so i went up and asked her if there was anything i could help her with....she hands me her bag (from Wilson's Leather), and a white shirt from our store, and says..."hold this"....so i take it and told her i was putting it on the counter of the register, so nobody would pick it up....she says "ok, i'm going to go try these jeans on"...ok no problem there....so at the other end of the department....a customer is waiting at that register and i'm all by myself...so i walk to that end of the dept. and cash out that customer....meanwhile, my part time girl shows up, so i go to break....
i'm sittin in my car talking on the phone to our very own luke...and i get a call waiting beep...so i click over, and it's my part time girl...she said "do you remember that lady that handed you the bag and shirt and you put it on the register for her?"....so i said yeah i remember...she say's "well, she's back and is upset, and is saying that we owe her 20 bucks for a candle....she say's she handed you the bag and now it's gone"....so i told her to call the manager on duty to take care of it....she said ok.....
i go back into work, after break, and my part time tells me that the lady is waiting at the other end of the dept for me....i was a bit curious as to why she was here, b/c i directed her to call the ays mngr....she did not....so i walk up to the customer and ask what i can do to help....she tells me the story.... i handed you a bag, then went in and tried on jeans...blah blah blah....she said the candle came from jc penney....ok well, then i had to inform her that she handed me a bag from wilson's leather...she says she knows that b/c my part time gave it back to her.....................WTF?.........what is the problem then?..............well the stupid lady had set her bag down somewhere and somebody probably picked it up thinking it was theirs....so i told her there was nothing i could do but take down her name and number and call if we come across it......
i just couldn't believe that when my part time was with her, she was so rude, then when i show up, she was like a completely different person....

Then later on that night......we closed last night at 2300.......so i have one register already counted and shut down at a quarter till.....well 3 lady's come walkin in....the 2 got the stuff they wanted and left......our mngr. made the 10 min. announcement....then the 5....well at the 5, my department was empty of people, so i closed down the other register......then the announcement comes on that "our store is now closed".....i look up after shutting the door to my register, and there is a lady.....she wants to check out......i told her "i'm sorry, but both of my registers are closed, as is our store."......she wants to talk to a mngr....so i call....and finished up what i was doing...look up and stupid lady that can't take direction or tell time for that matter, was gone.......
