This thread should be about GIVING CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. These folks work long and hard to make this board function properly and respond to every issue. They take time from their personal and professional lives to give freely of themselves for the benefit of others and this is commendable in any culture, profession, or society. If you feel that a kind word is an earned reward, then you share my sentiments and I encourage you to say so here. Address your remarks to the person or person's who you feel have earned your praise.
...I will go first:
I know I am still new here, so, you may not think I have had much time to get a good idea about each of your personalities, but, one thing I have observed is how I have been treated since my arrival...
There is nothing cold or indifferent here. I was greeted on every occasion in a warm a friendly way and my first impression is that I am among friends. I already like the people I have met and share a few things in common with all of you.
I genuinely love what you are doing here, your ideas, and everything I have learned so far about the board and it's members and you have my individual support in any way that I can be useful. We all like to be useful and helpful.
Sam(Howie), Melody, Hrdrok, Otto thank you for the warm welcome and if I ever forget to say it, please know I am feelin it.
As I set myself to the task of spreading the word about this board, I am going to be busy for a few days and may not get back here as often as I would like to, other than to check on people I've talked to about joining.... I will catch back up with things in a few days and we'll see how successful my membership drive becomes... I still think you are underestimating yourselves with the potential of this board. I see it everywhere I go. I hear it every day in the conversations I have with everyday folk who are ALL concerned...
"That", and I have simply GOT to get my days and nights turned back around - LOL. It seems like I find myself sitting here forgetting what time it is every time I come here and this is probably an indication of my future devotion to desk work, if not telling you how much I really enjoy being here.
It "IS" the "off-season" for construction, but, if my family is waking up when I am going to bed, and I am missing phone calls...this is not good.
In any case, well worth sleep sacrificed, good job guys and I will keep the coffee pot fired up!
